“Helping youngsters and their families understand and deal with their difficulties is the reason I’m here.”

As part of the IWK Neuropsychology Service and Rehabilitation team, pediatric neuropsychologist Harry Bawden assesses the abilities of children and adolescents with a wide range of central nervous system disorders. Information from those evaluations provide guidance and support in order to improve the quality of their life and facilitate their education.

“I first came to the IWK to work in their well-regarded Neuropsychology Service,” says Bawden. “Over the years I’ve had a lot of enjoyable experiences including completing research projects, serving on hospital committees, and helping out on the telethon. All of these activities have helped impress on me the importance of working at the IWK. I’m always looking forward to meeting the next family that seeks our help.”

“It’s a privilege to work at the IWK, with many highly talented and caring individuals.”
