Recognizing Respiratory Therapy Week 2018

Respiratory Therapists (RTs) are highly specialized and skilled healthcare professionals. As members of the inter-professional healthcare team, they care for patients of all ages by assessing, treating, and improving lung function and health, often by using advanced medical technology.

At the IWK, we have RTs working 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our RTs provide crucial support, primarily for critical care patients, and are positioned throughout the organization.
